It's hard to believe that one year ago today I started blogging. While there have been many topics I have blogged about, I have truly taken away one thing from this entire social exprience that means a great deal to me. That being the feeling of "community". Some definitions of community that I like are:

1. A group of people having common interests
2. A group viewed as forming a distinct segment of society
3. Similarity or identity: a community of interests
4. Sharing, participation, and fellowship

While we as a "community" tend to focus our blogging on Notes, Domino, Workplace, Websphere etc. alot of other things go on behind the scenes that makes us much more than a group of technology professionals. I have come to know so many of you as "friends" and "family". Not a day goes by when I don't IM or email with many of you. I even pick up the phone on occasion for your advice, assistance or friendship. I have even flown across the country on several occassions to have dinner and drinks with many of you. You all bring me things in life that many people take for granted. I don't want to belabor this blog entry, however, I simply would like to thank all of you for being there for me and making me a part of our community.
