You may want to wait on installing Lotus Domino 7.0.1
Thursday, February 9th, 2006
Read this post on Vince's blog which talks about how @Functions that deal with data >64k no longer work like they did in 7.0 . Michael Bourak has confirmed that there is in fact a problem that may break some of your applications. Back to 7.0 for the OpenNTF server.

Be sure and test your applications before deploying 7.0.1. You may not have coded your applications the way that we have on the OpenNTF site. Test, test, test, test, test, and test. Did I mention you should test your apps first? :-)

Hmmm... the way I read the SPR, it seemed like it was saying that there was a regression bug in 6.53 that caused the reversion to the old 64K limit behavior, but 7.01 fixes that regression. If it actually means that 7.01 has deliberately reverted to the R5 behavior, that's (a) quite unexpected, and (b) really bad.

I posted an update here:
http://www.lotusgeek.com/sapphireoak/lotusgeekblog.nsf/d6plinks/ROLR-6LWM7R

Basically, here's what it says:
have been in contact with the folks responsible for getting this resolved. They have acknowledged that this is a regression bug introduced in 7.0.1, and they are working on the appropriate timely response and resolution. Look for this response next week. Please pass this along as needed.

Stay tuned...

Rock
