You guys have some nerve. You both do nothing but bully people in the Lotus community. But when it comes to what you say about others it's perfectly ok.
And to think that both of you work for Lotus Notes/Domino 8 Design Partners - somebody needs to reel you both in - NOW.

Hrm. Who could this possibly be?!? Nobody in our community acts like that! Oh, wait, you said Design Partners, didn't you? Come to think of it, there are exactly two people who fit that description.....

It is unfortunate that you had to take such drastic measures, Bruce (I do not of whom you are speaking and I don't care to know). This is probably one of the best communities on the 'net (and in life) and it saddens me that some people act this way. I guess we aren't that much different than anyone else, but I always hold out hope.

@Gregg,
We need to learn not to throw stones in glass houses. Our community nor the products we love and adore aren't perfect. Sometimes the truth hurts but, we can all learn from each others experiences...the good and the bad.

Kneecapping, shouting others down, and other mafioso behavior shouldn't be tolerated. In this case we're actually seeing it encouraged. I don't think IBM or Lotus realize how polarizing these two particular individuals are.

Charles,
IBM Lotus knows and supports them.

So sad... I guess all communities, whether real or virtual, come to blows once in a while.
I just dont want to see it split into two camps, which has looked on the horizon at times during this past week...

@Stuart,
This past week? What do you mean? What else happened this week?

Just some of the chit-chat going on around the ND8 release... No names, just a slightly depressing lack of respect all around...

Sorry to hear that Stuart. I have heard great stuff about Notes and Domino 8 from many of my peers. Granted there are lots of things that didn't make it into the 8.0 release and yes some reported some issues but hey - no one is making stuff up. Brand new software comes with brand new features as well as brand new problems. Sharing these types of experiences is a good thing - both good and bad. Also remember your audience - a majority of the people who read our blogs are mostly techies and Notes devs and admins and not the end-users. It's important to share freely information.
I have some blog posts coming later this week that explore the new Notes 8 UI, Notes Mail, RSS reader and other sidebar apps. All good stuff.
Also when somebody does point out a deficiency or weakness that should be seen as an opportunity for IBM and/or an ISV to help create a solution. Some of us don't have access to IBM resources like others do.
Like I stated here on vowe.net - I AM very excited about Notes as is the rest of the community.

Bruce - great to speak to you today, I really appreciated the conversation.
You know, sometimes I think the post/response methodology of the blogosphere really isnt the best way of doing these things...
