After waking up early today I hopped on over to my RSS reader and saw Ed's blog posting regarding a recent Fake Steve Jobs (aka Dan Lyons of Forbes magazine) posting. This brought back memories from 2004 when I had written Dan Lyons an email letting him know how I felt about one of his articles. What did Dan do as a result of me writing this email to him? He contacted my employers marketing communications department and suggested that I be fired. Four years later I am still employed at the same company while Dan struggles to become a respected writer and continues to lash out on those who continue to be successful with technologies that he proclaimed in Forbes articles would go the way of the dinosaur.

Dan you truly are scum.

That surely is an odd way of "struggling to become a respected writer".
Doesn't Forbes have a blogging policy and guidelines?

Hopefully he will have a professional slow and painfull death, preferably taking Forbes down with him, though taking his place in history.

Why would he want to get you fired? That is just silly. I am sure we are all going to get fired now. Plus I guess the part he does not know is your a die hard Lotus Fan and your mail system is Exchange at work where he wanted to get you fired. He should just leave you alone for being on both sides of the fence. He seems kind of like a hack too. Not very well read and not very easy to read. He rambles a bit and is vague, but the same can be said for me.
